Wedding Etiquette 101: Give a Personalized Gift of Appreciation

"Your wedding should be fun for everyone involved, including your best man and groomsmen." - Laura Michaud.

Laura Michaud designs and makes custom pocket squares and coordinating bow ties for weddings and special occasions at her own company called The Maine Square.

"So often I hear groomsmen complaining about purchasing their attire. It can be quite expensive. Finding the right accessories to match the wedding colors and theme can be challenging to find, causing unnecessary stress. I figured that I could at least help with the accessory part while also creating a keepsake." -Laura Michaud.

The Maine Square offers custom-made bow ties and coordinating pocket squares personalized with a monogram or an embroidered design. Give these pocket squares and bow ties as a token of appreciation for your best man and your groomsmen. In addition, they can also serve as a souvenir. They can even wear them again for other special occasions that should come up in their lives.

Laura explained that some people ask her to embroider a design such as a small state of Maine or a lobster on the pocket squares that she makes. Others prefer a monogram of each groomsmen's initials. Either way, you will be giving a personalized gift to your groomsmen that will represent your most memorable day. In addition, you will be alleviating stress, therefore making everyone feel relaxed, which is how your wedding day should be.

If you are a bride or a groom-to-be, take some of the pressure off your wedding party by giving them the accessories you would like them to wear. Not only will they thank you for making things easy for them, but they will also have a personalized gift that will remind them of your special day for years to come.
